Today, let us talk tacos!

This neighborhood gem located in Arlington draws flocks of loyal fans, many of them rave about the similarity to the real food of their homelands. English is the second language here, as it should be at a real taco stand. The posters of Mexican and El Salvadorian landmarks, the local spanish language news publications on the small counter, all great signs of authentic cuisine. The goat tacos are fantastic, fresh goat, some onions, scallions and spicy cabbage on the side. The beef tacos use tasty, tender steak with the same slew of herbs spices and texture. The price for these delectable morsels, $2 a pop, what a deal, the papusas, light and fluffy stuffed tortillas if you will, are a steal at $1.50. Cash is king here, a constant at real authentic establishments, just real, cheap, delicious, authentic food. El Charrito Caminante is located at 2710 Washington Blvd. Arlington VA. No reservations, no tables, just a few stools and a decent line waiting for the best tacos I have ever had.
Tacos are often thought of a mystery meat stuffed tortilla shell with some processed cheese. Not the case at El Charrito Caminante, they serve fresh, delicious, and perfect tacos.
