The energy in the crowd was pretty intense, security was tight and the District was spending money like crazy.  The only thing missing were concession stands, I really wanted a Pope pendant or temporary tattoo, no such luck.  Today DC is jammed up yet again while his holiness criss-crosses the city and among other things says mass at The Nationals Ballpark to  crowd of 46,000 fans!  Go Nats, I mean Pope! 

Short post today as I am in NY, actually Staten Island, the view from my Hilton  Garden Inn suite makes me wonder a few things, how is this a Hilton, where is the garden and what makes this a suite?  I overlook stunning oil refineries and expressways, ah the industrial wasteland below is so inviting, can’t wait to start my day!
